*ACSA opens new 2010 Central Terminal Building
The long anticipated wait for the opening of the new 2010 Central Terminal Building (CTB), at the Cape Town Internal Airport, finally opened its doors to all passengers on Saturday 07, November 2009.
The new central terminal building is a five storey building which combines the check-in process for both International and Domestic passengers, therefore all departing passengers now move through one check-in area as apposed to two different ones.
*Interfaith engagement
An Interfaith Engagement with President Jacob Zuma, which was facilitated by the Anglican Archbishop Reverend Thabo Makgobo, was hosted in Bishops Court during the month of October.
*Campus Protection Society of Southern Africa (Comprosa) Conference
On Monday 7, September 2009, various institutions such as, the University of Cape Town, University of the Western Cape and both the Bellville and Cape Town campuses of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, held a conference concerning campus security. This three day conference was held at the Southern Sun Newlands Hotel.
*American Express Dining Awards
On Monday 29, September 2009, American Express hosted its 2010 Platinum Fine Dinning Awards, at the One & Only Hotel. This culinary event was also hosted in Johannesburg.
ACSA opens new 2010 Central Terminal Building
The long anticipated wait for the opening of the new 2010 Central Terminal Building (CTB), at the Cape Town Internal Airport, finally opened its doors to all passengers on Saturday 07, November 2009.
The new central terminal building is a five storey building which combines the check-in process for both International and Domestic passengers, therefore all departing passengers now move through one check-in area as apposed to two different ones.
It has 120 check-in counters, 20 self service check-in machines with a combined security screening point. The new CTB also houses over 74 retail stores and restaurant such as, Woolworths, Steers, American Swiss and Spur- to mention but a few.
Smart Staging Solutions provided the Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA) with live sound linkages to performing artists such as CODA, The Gugulethu Tenors, AmaAmbush Marimba Band and Simply Smooth Jazz Band. We also provided this event with photography services by capturing ACSA staff and passenger interaction; passenger movements through the terminal and infrastructural as well as the celebratory elements.
Interfaith Engagement

Smart Staging Solutions called on-board to setup a PA system for this prestigious event as well as providing live television linkages for national broadcasting stations.

Guests of honour included the Honourable Judge Dennis Davis, Gary Bailey and Professor Thandabantu Nhlapo, Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Technology.
Sponsors included Smart Staging Solutions, Security Wise, CHIPPA Investment Holdings, Sukema Integrated Solutions, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Amanzi Pro.
Smart Staging Solutions provided this conference with a setup of a P.A system and sponsored photography services.

On Monday 29, September 2009, American Express hosted its 2010 Platinum Fine Dinning Awards, at the One & Only Hotel. This culinary event was also hosted in Johannesburg.
This event recognised top restaurants in and around Cape Town ranging from the Cape Peninsula, Garden Route and the Klein Karoo. The audience was well entertained by the judges, Victor Strugo and Lannice Snyman, restaurant reviewers and critics.
The VIP’s consisted of the Vanessa Singh, head of American Express Card Marketing; Sam Pugh from L’Avenir Winelands; and Yemurayi Bamhare from the UJ School of tourism and hospitality.
Smart Staging Solutions was called on bored to lend its expertise in the audio-visual and photography services for this prestigious event.
